Shabby chic table with photographs!

We were delighted when Jo of Imperfectly Perfect invited us to her studio to help transform our ordinary table into something a little different.

Here is our table ready for Jo's magic!

We set about transforming the table. A quick sand, clean and a coat of Annie Sloan dark grey paint.

We had a chat and a cuppa while the paint dried. The table was then waxed all over to seal the grey.

Ooh look at all the lovely paint pots! We decided on the nine colours that we were going to paint the top, four legs and sides.

We opted for a red top. There was no need to paint the tiles completely as our photographs would be glued on there eventually.

Sanded back to create our shabby chic look.

Another wax!

The wax brought the colours together beautifully.

Black and white photographs applied with glue and left to dry.

A few coats of spray varnish and our table was finished and ready to be photographed in Imperfectly Perfect's beautiful courtyard.

Thank you Jo, we had a wonderful couple of days at Imperfectly Perfect. Our new table looks great in our studio!
