Hello, I’m Ruth and welcome to Hello Ruth, where meaningful moments are turned into handmade keepsakes.
The name “Hello Ruth” came naturally, after noticing that so many customer messages began with exactly those words. It felt like the perfect fit for a business built on personal connection, thoughtful gifting, and creating something special just for you.
I design and make handmade cards and origami keepsakes from my home studio in a quiet village in the Chilterns, where I live with my husband, our two children, and our cats, Joey and Button. Each piece is carefully created to feel personal, thoughtful, and a little different from the usual shop-bought card, something people want to keep, not throw away.
Originally from Dublin, I studied at art college and later worked in the film industry on productions including Harry Potter and Children of Men. That background in visual storytelling still inspires everything I make today, from folded paper origami designs to personalised keepsake cards that mark life’s important moments.
